Brother Danny was called to be our pastor October 15, 1978, and moved to Dayton in November of that same year. He and his wife Martha were married on December 22, 1967. They have two sons. Micah was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 24, 1971. Steven was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on February 19, 1979. Both are married. Micah and Melody have four children: Carson, Cooper, Cole and Campbell. Steven and Tara have two children: McKenzie and Teagan. Micah is a coach and teacher at Rhea County High
School and Steven is an agent with Farm Bureau. Martha is a kindergarten teacher at Dayton City School.

Phyllis has recently joined our staff from a church in the Nashville area where she served almost three years. A native of Mississippi, Phyllis has served several churches in the greater Chattanooga area and celebrates eighteen years in children's ministry this year. She can't imagine a church without children and it is exciting to be in a church that realizes that children are important and are the future. We want our preschool and children's ministry to reach boys and girls for Christ and may we always be found faithful to that task.
Phyllis is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education with graduate work also at that same insitution. She taught school 10 years before committing her life to Christian Education, so she understands children and wants what is best for them. |
