Preschool Ministry

Preschoolers are special at New Union. We have such a short time with them yet have the opportunity to make such a huge impact on their lives. So the first five years of their development are of such great importance in building a spiritual foundation that will last a lifetime. It is our goal to instill the word of God in each preschooler and then trust that the Holy Sprit will use these truths to make them into all He wants them to be. We want to partner with parents in providing age appropriate activities that help them grow into strong Christians and make good choices.

We want to partner with parents in striving to provide a well balanced approach to help lay strong foundations for each preschooler:

  • Spiritually- We teach as our goal that one day each child will make a decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord.
  • Intellectually- We strive to promote instruction that is stimulating and challenging with an exciting environment.
  • Socially- We provide a safe and secure environment for preschoolers to make friends and develop social skills.
  • Physically- We also provide an inviting age-appropriate and clean facility to facilitate leaning.

Sundays for Preschool:

9:45  Sunday School - Ages birth through Kindergarten
 

Each age group has appropriate bible content and hands on learning experiences to help teach and apply the lessons learned.
 

10:45  Worship Service
 

Extended Teaching Care for babies-threes during the A.M. worship time. This is a wonderful ministry for young parents as they worship together. The teaching time is extended and there is a continuation of the lesson taught through the Sunday School hour.
 

Preschool Worship for ages Pre-K-Kindergarten. Preschoolers are picked up by their parents and attend worship together. They are then dismissed from the Sanctuary at a designated time and taken to a worship on their level. Parents pick up the preschoolers immediately after the worship service. This is staffed by rotating teachers and parents.
 

6:30  Childcare - Birth through two years old
 

6:30  Team Kid - Three years old through Kindergarten
 

A special high-energy program designed to support growth in all areas: Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Social. It is age appropriate and fun for all.


Wednesday Nights for Preschool:

6:00  Choir - Preschool age three through Kindergarten
 

Come join the fun as they sing about God and Jesus. This is an exciting group that loves to sing and praise the Lord. Age appropriate activities are enjoyed as they also learn to sing to our King.
 

7:00  Mission Friends - Preschool age two through Kindergarten
 

Mission Friends focuses on Missionaries throughout the world and how they spread the love and good news of Jesus Christ. Preschoolers learn about a missionary as well as the culture of their mission field each month.
 

The goals of Mission Friends are:
 
  • Preschoolers become aware of God's love and learn that others need to hear about this good news!
  • Preschoolers are involved in learning, praying, giving, and doing missions.
  • Preschoolers learn of missions work in North America and throughout the world.
  • Each month, preschoolers learn about a missionary in a different place.
  • Preschoolers learn through hands-on-activities, sensory activities, bible study, cultural learning activities, mission stories, prayer, giving and helping others.
