Student Ministry
The youth ministry of New Union Baptist provides a place for 6th through 12th graders to develop into the men and women that God wants them to be. In addition to regular Bible study and worship opportunities, youth can also participate in Praise Band, Drama Team, Sign Language and Youth Choir. We have a "Core" which is a group of older leaders in our youth who help with Bible studies and mentoring to the younger students.
We have a youth parent advisory board which meets with the Student Minister. This is composed of parents who have children in the youth as well as people who help with the youth. This semester we are excited to have a youth intern. Sara Ward, from Bryan College.
Sundays for Youth:
9:45 Sunday School - Grades 6-12 |

Youth meet for a time of fellowship from 9:45am to 10:00am before attending Sunday school. There are 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade and 9th-12th grade Sunday school classes. |

10:45 Morning Worship |
|
Youth join the adults in the sanctuary for morning worship. |

5:00 Drama Team and Sign Language |

6:00 Praise Band and Youth Choir |

7:00 Youth Evening Worship |

Youth meet in the youth room for an evening of worship, bible study and activities. |

Wednesday Nights for Youth:
5:30 Fellowship Meal |

You may bring your youth as early as 5:30 p.m. for the Wednesday night Fellowhip Meal. |

6:30 Challengers - Young Men Grades 6th-12th |
|
Challengers is the youth mission education organization for young men in grades 7-12. Challengers provides mission training and mission accountability as young men support each other to fulfill their personal commitment to live out and share the gospel. |

6:30 Acteens - Young Ladies Grades 6th-12th |
|
Acteens is a missions organization for girls who are aged 12–18 or in grades 6–12. Through Acteens, teenaged girls can have opportunities to grow in their relationships with God and their peers. Acteens learn to look beyond themselves and become actively involved in missions and ministry. |

Missions is at the heart of Acteens, and members explore and do hands-on missions in their communities and beyond. Acteens are also actively involved in studying God's Word, learning about missions and praying for and giving to missions. |
